The Duggar family has already experienced tragedy this year with the unexpected passing of Grandma Mary Duggar and the sad miscarriage that Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth suffered through. Now, Counting On star Anna Duggar and her husband Josh have lost an in-law after a tragic car accident.
Anna Duggar’s sister Priscilla is married to David Waller, and it was David’s younger sister Rebecca Waller, 22, who passed away after a three-car accident. Anna posted a comment on David and Priscilla’s Instagram post that announced the sad news.

“💔😭 Praying for your family, we love you guys! Our kids have been talking about the fun memories they made with Rebecca, she is greatly loved and missed. She was always giving and serving, such an encourager and example to each of us! 😭 💕,” wrote Anna.
According to Radar Online, the police report states that Rebecca – a native of Harris, Minnesota – was driving on Highway 55 in Inver Groves, Minnesota, on Wednesday, October 2nd when she turned north “against a red light” and then attempted to “cross westbound traffic” when a red Ford pickup truck and a semi-tractor hit her blue Honda Accord.
The police report also noted that the road conditions were “dry” and everyone involved in the accident was wearing their seatbelt. Airbags also deployed in Rebecca’s vehicle, as well as the Ford pickup truck. Neither driver that hit Rebecca had alcohol in their system, but it is unknown at this time if Rebecca had any alcohol or drugs in her system. Police are still investigating the crash.
Priscilla posted a pic of Rebecca along with the news of her death. She said that with heavy hearts, they received a phone call telling them that David’s youngest sister Rebecca went home to Heaven at around 8:30 on Wednesday morning. Priscilla said that the 22 years of life that God gave with her seem short, but the important thing is that she had a relationship with Jesus Christ.

“She is in heaven today, not because she was a good person, but because she trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal savior. The instant her car was struck, she passed from earth to heaven and is in the presence of the Lord,” said Priscilla.
