Yesterday, Sam Callahan made his brand new single “Something To Prove” available to pre-order with the official release date on 1 May 2020; and today, we get to exclusively premiere the music video to the song. The song is his first original release since 2018’s “Stitches and Scars“, however at the end of last year, he did drop his debut album which consisted of nine awesome covers.
Sam Callahan has been in the music industry for a number of years and we’ve been following him ever since. He’s best known by many as being a contestant on the tenth series of The X Factor, where he placed seventh. He has dipped into various music genres and has since dropped some amazing tracks. We love the direction he’s been heading in the past few years with “Burns Like Fire“, “Say Something“, and “Stitches & Scars“. Now 2020 has come around and he’s dropped “Something To Prove”, which we adore.
Self-penned and produced by Jamie Sellers, the song is addicting, but it’s the music video that gives the personal spin to really connect with the song. Directed and produced by Jake Pursey, of Pursey Productions, we watch a compilation of vlog and performance videos from Sam Callahan. Most of the videos focuses on his life and his relationship with his girlfriend, Robyn Hatton. The song is clearly a dedication to his partner, and the video supports that, with many of the clips showing Robyn Hatton and showcasing how much she means to him. It’s sweet, endearing, and full of love, Sam Callahan’s music video for “Something To Prove” is one that will melt hearts.
