Paramore has had Hayley Williams as part of its lineup for some time, but who else has been in the band? Williams has been enjoying going out on tour with Taylor York and Zac Farro. York is a native of Nashville, Tennessee, and has been with the band since 2007. Reportedly, he and Williams are in a relationship.
Farro, who is the band’s drummer, is a native of New Jersey. He and his brother Josh were in the band together from 2004 to 2010. Josh Farro was the band’s lead singer during his time with Paramore. Zac, though, returned to the band in 2017.
Paramore was all set to kick off the new year at the iHeartRadio ALTer EGO show. But that’s now over.
The band announced on January 4 that they would not be a part of the show. As disturbing as that news is to the band’s fans, Paramore is no more on social media. All of the band’s social media accounts have been wiped clean of content. Reportedly, there are some TikTok videos still out there, according to Us Weekly.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, Paramore can no longer attend and perform [at the show],” according to a statement on the band’s Instagram Story. “The band apologizes for any inconvenience.”
Paramore Mum About Future Plans
No firm word has been given as to what those circumstances revolve around for Paramore. What’s even more surprising is that they were supposed to headline the concert on January 13 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
Los Angeles radio station ALT 98.7 has announced that Fall Out Boy will be replacing Paramore. The station added that it wished the band “all the best and hope to see them soon.”
“We are thrilled to join the 2024 iHeartRadio ALTer EGO lineup and celebrate our most recent album So Much (For) Stardust,” Fall Out Boy said in a press statement. “We are looking forward to closing out an incredible night of music in advance of our upcoming ‘So Much For (2our)Dust’ US concert run.”
Canceling concerts, though, has not been a new thing for Paramore. Back in August 2023, they nixed some shows while Williams was fighting a lung infection.
Hayley Williams Took Time Off
Williams posted on Instagram that she was “risking long-term damage” should she go ahead and perform. “I need to pay attention to my body,” Williams wrote. “I physically can not go on. (And) I know this isn’t great news for anyone. Thank you so much for your continued support.”
In February 2023, Paramore released their sixth studio album, This Is Why. It landed with a No. 2 debut spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart. It also happened to be their highest-charting album in about a decade. This was their first album since After Laughter was released in May 2017. That one would reach at No. 6 and that would be as high as it would go. Paramore’s self-titled release debuted at No. 1 in April 2013.
